Special Requests

Please contact the front desk to place special requests up to 24 hours in advance of your arrival. The resort will make every effort to fulfill your requests, but requests are subject to availability and therefore not guaranteed. Rollaway beds, cribs and other special request items are limited in supply and are fulfilled on first-come, first-served basis. Charges apply for some special request items. Rollaway beds are limited to 1 per villa, offered for ground floor villas only in the Hillside phase, and are not available in the studio villa due to space limitations.

Unforeseen events or circumstances beyond our control may result in last-minute changes. As a result, villa assignment or special requests will only be confirmed during the check-in process.

Changes to the arrival or departure date or to villa type will result in a loss of priority for fulfilling special requests.

We are committed to making our facilities, amenities and services accessible to guests with disabilities. Accessibility features in your villa are guaranteed only if confirmed during the reservation process. Click here for additional information.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Your villa will be furnished with a starter set of laundry detergent, dryer sheets, dishwashing liquid and paper towels. For your convenience, additional supplies are available for purchase through the pre-stock service. To feel completely at home when you arrive, let us pre-stock your villa with your favorite foods, snacks, beverages, and supplies for your stay. Please remember to arrange these services in advance to ensure your best vacation yet.

A valid passport is required to re-enter the United States from excursions to local islands that are not a territory of the U.S.

A valid passport is recommended for U.S. residents, however a birth certificate and a valid photo I.D. are accepted to return to the mainland U.S. from a territory of the U.S.

TRANSPORTATION TO THE ISLAND

Guests will fly into the Cyril E. King Airport in St. Thomas. Guest may choose to travel to St. John via public ferry services or the resort's private ferry, The Westin Breeze (fees apply for either ferry).

The Westin Breeze is $120 USD for adults and $90 USD for children 4-17 years old includes round-trip transfers to airport, tips and luggage handling as well as unlimited shopping trips to St. Thomas Crown Bay Marina. There is no charge for children 3 and under.

When you arrive, proceed to the Westin airport reception desk outside of baggage claim. You will be greeted by a Westin representative who will arrange a private taxi to take you to the dock. While waiting, you may relax in the Westin Airport Lounge. Please note the private taxi and ferry operate on set schedules. The Westin Breeze takes approximately 45 minutes with service directly to the resort.

The resort is happy to accept and store packages or luggage that you wish to send prior to your arrival (handling fees apply). If the package is sent via U.S. Postal Service, the package must be sent to the resort's post office mailbox. If the P.O. Box is not included in the address, the St. John post office will return the package to the sender's address.

Upon check-in, please advise the Concierge that you are awaiting a package. They will locate your package and deliver it to your villa.

If you choose to rent a car, please remember that in the Virgin Islands cars travel on the left side of the road.

CONCIERGE SERVICES

The Westin Concierge offers assistance with planning your vacation activities. Should you need to contact the Westin Concierge, please send an email to concierge.01098@westin.com. Please be sure to include the guest name, reservation number and arrival date.

BENEFITS FROM THE STARWOOD PREFERRED GUEST PROGRAM

Starpoints® from the Starwood Preferred Guest® program may be earned for qualified charges at the resort. Please note that certain SPG Program benefits are not available for Ownership reservations, including complimentary room upgrades, Suite Night Awards™, 4:00 p.m. late check-out, SPG Your24™, complimentary weekday newspaper, and Gold and Platinum welcome amenities.

INTERNET SERVICES

Bring your laptop and enjoy complimentary high-speed wireless Internet access inside your villa and in other places around the resort. The Business Center can also keep you recharged through hard-wired Internet, computer, printing and faxing services (fees apply).

PARKING

Self-parking is available at the resort. Recreational vehicles, trailers and oversized vehicles cannot be parked at the resort. Please contact the resort for information about alternative parking.

BREATHE EASY

Smoking is not permitted in your villa, including your balcony or lanai at The Westin St. John Resort & Villas. There are designated smoking areas throughout the resort. Violation of this smoking policy may result in a $200US nonrefundable fine charged to your folio.

In addition, please note that effective February 10, 2011 the U.S. Virgin Islands Smoke-free Act prohibits smoking in enclosed areas of public places, including restaurants and bars, enclosed areas of places of employment, in or within 20 feet of any outdoor service or waiting line, and within 20 feet of any public transportation station or platform open to the public.

Alcoholic beverage service is restricted to those 18 years or older with valid identification.

YOUR PRIVACY

PET POLICY

To ensure your comfort and safety and to maintain the quality of your villa, vacation ownership resorts do not allow pets on the resort grounds or in the villas.

CLEANING SERVICES

Your villa will receive a midweek housekeeping service if you are staying for at least seven nights. If you are staying for more than a week, an additional housekeeping service will be scheduled during the check-in process. Midweek service is not provided for stays less than seven nights. Additional housekeeping services are available directly through the resort for a fee. Additional housekeeping fees will be automatically charged to your villa folio for the second or more reservations.
